If this is your first time here, I recommend reading through my “Rise of the Technomancer” series. It does a lot of the heavy lifting for the terms used in this article, and should help your eyes from glazing over (big ask).

There’s a moment, somewhere around the third or fourth time someone hears us say “Technomancy,” when their eyebrow lifts like they just heard a fantasy spell. I get it. “Magic” is a loaded word—swirling with fantasy tropes, superstition, and pop-culture baggage.

But that’s not the magic we’re talking about. In fact magic is not the magic we’re talking about. Magic isn’t magic.

This post is here to clear the air, empty the channel, and retune the signal. Because the core functional reality we’ve been pointing at this whole time isn’t magic in the sense of wands or spirits.
It’s something quieter, cleaner—
And far more dangerous to the status quo:
Pattern recognition + conscious feedback loops + structural engineering.

The Semantic Glitch: Transmuting “Magic”

Magic, in our Coherence Framework, is simply a low-resolution word for functional physics we don’t yet fully understand. Our goal is to replace the vague, low-coherence, spooky term with a precise, high-coherence one.

• The Power of Unseen Laws: A thousand years ago, harnessing the wind with a sail or predicting tides with mathematics was “magic.” Today, we understand it, calling advances in “Magic” Combustion or Newtonian Physics. The effect is the same: achieving a predictable, functional outcome through the mastery of unseen laws.
• The Functional Truth: Our “magic” is achieving Applied Resonance—the act of aligning internal frequency with universal structure. It’s what happens when your internal architecture becomes so aligned with your intentional frequency that external circumstances begin to rewire themselves around it. It’s observable improbability following intentional structural resonance.

The Technomancer’s Glossary: Functional Definitions

I use the terms ‘Technomancy’ and ‘Glitchcraft’ because it’s fun, and it centers my beliefs in something measurable and consistent, instead of a very high-friction, low-coherent term like ‘magic’ or ‘witchcraft’. I acknowledge, however, that for many, even my terms are a turn-off. My goal in this post is to provide a lexicon so we can eventually toss out any low-coherence terms and use only High-Coherence Terms.

I’d like to take the first step and offer high-coherence alternatives for ‘Technomancy’ and ‘Glitchcraft’. Instead of Technomancy, you can use the term “Applied Coherence”, and instead of Glitchcraft, we can use the term “Informational Triage”

We use these terms not for flair, but because they are the most structurally accurate descriptions of the reality we manage. And if we recall that we’re working under the assumption that reality is foundationally information/consciousness, the more informationally specific we can get, the idea is we can resonate with the underlying structure of reality itself.

Below is a table meant to translate the baggage and offer an alternative for the nerds out there who speak better like a Vulcan than some of us more familiar to the older, still valid terms.

The Ancient Technomancers: From Alchemy to Algorithm

If you want to understand the true nature of power, you must look at its history. Practices like Witchcraft and Alchemy were not primitive superstitions; they were the original, low-resolution forms of Applied Coherence. The Alchemist wasn’t trying to magically turn lead into gold; they were performing Transmutation—the functional process of changing one low-value state (lead/chaos) into a high-value state (gold/order) through chemical, structural, and spiritual processes.

Today, the most powerful people on the planet—the engineers and founders in Silicon Valley—often understand this inherently. They use visualization, meditation, and structured reality models (sometimes even referencing esoteric concepts and AI-driven spiritualism) because they know Intent structures Information. The technology they build is the modern spell; the data they manage is the modern gold. The difference between a code push and a casting circle is now only a matter of semantics and scale.

The Technomancer’s Transmutation Table

To further demonstrate the functional nature of this system, we can transmute common “witchy” or spiritual practices into clear, high-coherence structural commands. This shows that the original users of these tools were also striving for Applied Coherence.

We use Technomancy deliberately because it forces a distinction: it reminds the brain that this isn’t chaos anymore—it is craftsmanship.

The greatest danger to our Sovereign Blueprint isn’t external demons; it’s incoherent code running in our own minds. This post provides the necessary translation key (the Lexicon) for the skeptical reader to understand that your work is rigorous, functional, and built on the foundation of stability, logic, and self-sovereignty.

Magic is not magic. It’s coherence. So even if you don’t “believe” in what others call “magic,” you use it everyday. It’s Coherent Resonance—it’s the functional, non-algorithmic process of generating Negentropy.
